- 15 rice paper sheets
- 3 eggs
- 4 large sweet apples grated
- 1/4 cup raisins optional: soak in rum
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/3 cup rolled oats
- Honey to taste optional
Grate apples, then mix with cinnamon, raisins, and rolled oats in a bowl. Stir in honey to taste if you like a sweeter filling.
Beat eggs in a wide bowl. Dip one rice paper sheet at a time into the eggs, keeping each sheet submerged at least 5 seconds so it softens evenly.
Arrange three soaked sheets side by side on parchment with slight overlaps to form a wider strip.
Spoon a line of apple filling along the length, like a “snake,” leaving small borders.
Fold in the sides to seal, then roll into a snug spiral (“snail”). Repeat with remaining sheets and filling to make 5 spirals total.
Place rolls on parchment in the air-fryer basket.
Air fry at 360°F (180°C) for 15 minutes, until golden and crisp. Cool slightly and enjoy.
If your air fryer runs hot, begin checking at 12 minutes.
For bite-size pieces, make shorter logs instead of spirals and reduce cook time by 2–3 minutes.
Gluten-friendly option: use certified gluten-free oats.
